Children running around you while working from home? Come and work in an empty hotel room. With unlimited coffee, tea and toilet paper

Weddings, parties, receptions, everything has been deleted, and tourism is also on its way. What to do with those empty hotels? Well, offering it as a workplace for all those home workers, thought the owners of Slot Hotel Schagen and Grand Hotel Opduin on Texel.

From March onwards, bookings fell sharply at the hotels. "There are a few business guests who continue to work, but otherwise it has come to a standstill here," says co-owner Angelina Sleutel-Nijssen of Slot Hotel Schagen. "The room reservations are also continuously canceled." There are hardly any guests at the Texel hotel either. Co-owner Floris-Jan Zwaag: "Normally we have about 220, now three."
